Dear Members and Friends of Sonoran Bells,
Sonoran Bells is currently seeking nominations and expressions of interest for service on the Board of Governors, with a particular interest in individuals who have experience in the legal field, nonprofit governance, compliance, contracts, policy development, or organizational risk management.
As a growing nonprofit arts organization, Sonoran Bells relies on strong leadership and sound governance to support our mission of musical excellence, community outreach, and promotion of the art of handbell ringing. Legal and nonprofit leadership experience can help ensure the organization’s continued growth and long-term sustainability.
The Board of Governors supports Sonoran Bells through strategic planning, organizational oversight, community engagement, and administrative support. We are especially interested in individuals who can provide insight into nonprofit operations, contracts, policies, compliance matters, and organizational best practices.
Board Responsibilities:
- Attend Board of Governors meetings
- Support the mission and goals of Sonoran Bells
- Provide guidance related to governance and organizational operations
- Assist with policy review, compliance, and risk management considerations
- Participate in committees or special initiatives
- Serve as an ambassador for Sonoran Bells within the community
Ideal Candidates May Have Experience In:
- Legal practice
- Nonprofit governance
- Contract review or negotiation
- Corporate or nonprofit compliance
- Policy and procedure development
- Risk management
- Board governance and organizational leadership
Both current members of Sonoran Bells and members of the broader community are encouraged to express interest or submit nominations.
